Purdys Valentine’s Packaging
Creative direction, design and illustration (various years).
As one of the peak seasons, Valentine’s packaging needed to include different styles to appeal to a wide range of customers with different purchasing reasons (romantic, friendship, anti-Valentine).
It was my responsibility to research design trends and create a seasonal art direction plan that mapped out the different creative and illustration styles that would be used across all of the different types of packaging.
At Purdys packaging operates on a 2 year life-cycle and a key consideration of the art direction process was how the new designs could work alongside existing packaging (potential to be seen on shelf together).
