TEMPO Gin Smash 2023 Marketing Campaign
The ask for the Tempo Craft Gin 2023 marketing campaign was to advance Tempo Gin Smash’s position to be a top 5 cooler brand in English Canada. The aim of the campaign was to persuade people ready to graduate from sugary coolers to choose Tempo as the flavourful, perfectly balanced drink that reflects their refined taste.
Leaning into a ‘perfectly balanced drink’, the ‘Balancing Act’ concept is a literal visual representation that uses elaborate balancing configurations of fruit and the canned product. Balancing fruit was an existing brand aesthetics that I wanted to amplify and show in a new and interesting way. The result is a cohesive visual aesthetic which is eye catching through the use of colour, unexpected balanced items (which move in animations) and bold typography.
As the design lead and project manager, I developed and pitched the creative concept, created an optimized fit-for-format plan of assets, developed a work back schedule, provided art direction and feedback for animated assets and completed the design and production of static assets.
